It’s finally Friday so let’s get right to it…
In case you missed it: Discussion on two point guard options in 2021 class https://theprovidencecrier.com/2020/09/06/in-search-for-a-pg-darius-johnson-or-breon-pass/#more-2545
1. Legend Geeter Announces Today
The wait may finally be over for Friar fans for PC to land their first 2021 recruit. Legend Geeter, a 6-8 forward from River Rouge, MI will announce his college choice today at 1:30. The Friars sit in his final 5 along with Missouri, Georgetown, Western Michigan and Duquesne.

Geeter will remind many Friar fans of Alpha Diallo. He is one of those hybrid forwards that is two quick for bigs to cover and too big for guards. The Crier feels pretty good about this one by reading the tea leaves. On top of that we even have crystal balls picking the Friars. That, simply put, never happens. So tune in around 1:30 and the Providence Crier will hopefully be writing a follow up piece with some good news.
2. Breon Pass to Announce 9/26
Another Friar target will announce his choice within the next few weeks, as Reidsville, NC guard Breon Pass will announce his college choice 9/26. Pass has a final 4 of PC, ECU, NC St and Georgia Tech.

September 26th serves meaning for the athletic guard, as it is his father’s birthday. Breon’s father passed away last year and they were very close, as he was also his basketball coach. Pass decided to give up football dreams and solely focus on basketball. Pass and Legend Geeter would make for a great guard/forward combo so fingers crossed.
These are the two major developments that occurred in Friartown this past week, and they are situations we will monitor.
3. Jonas Aidoo offered by Wake Forest
Big man recruit from North Carolina received an offer from The Deamon Deacons this week. Here comes another recruitment where the Friars are going up against programs in the ACC. Aidoo would be a great fit at the 5 and successor to Nate Watson.
