Jonas Aidoo receives offer from UMiami

Big man Aidoo received an offer from the Hurricanes earlier this week. The Canes landed PG Bensley Joseph earlier in the recruiting cycle, so hopefully they don’t steal another from the Friars.

Aidoo’s recruitment continues to grow after a strong showing at an AAU tournament. Some recent highlights below

Landing a true big in Ayomide or Aidoo would fortify the front court for years to come. It cannot be stated enough the importance of landing one of these guys, even in an era moving to position less basketball.

Rumors of Good News?

There have been various outlets that have hinted at a potential commitment to the Friars program over the next few days. We’ll see what transpires, but landing that first piece to the 2021 class would help temporarily alleviate the concerns of Friar fans.

We don’t want to speculate on who it may be, as that will take away from the moment from the recruit, but we’ll have the recruitment covered on the site all of next week.

New Big Man Interest Coming?

Will Felton, a power forward from North Carolina, has seen his recruitment blow up after a strong performance at a Big Shots AAU tournament. Given where he plays high school ball (Carolinas) and the need for frontcourt help, it wouldn’t surprise me at all to see Cooley jump in on this recruitment. Miami recently offered.
