While probably due to the pandemic it seemed as if PC big man target Sam Ayomide (2021) had cooled on the Friars. That doesn’t seem to be the case as he broke down his recruitment on StockRisers Sunday.

Ayomide has been in constant contact with the Friars and it’s been a ”coach to player” dialogue. To me that seems to be a good news, however what isn’t great is the fact that Kansas offered Ayomide and plan on having him for virtual visit this week. Remember my Embiid comparison from the article posted months ago?
In Search of a Big: Friar Target Samuel Ayomide
Seems the Crier isn’t as dumb as he may sometimes appear. Bill Self has got to see the potential in Sam’s game. The big question for Ayomide is what is the playing situation at Kansas. The Jayhawks have added bigs in 2019, 2020 and already have one for 2021. Is Ayomide going to pick a situation like Kansas where he will have to compete to get a crack at the rotation or will he go to a place like PC or Seton Hall with more of a pathway to early PT. That is the million dollar question folks.
The Friars would absolutely love to land Ayomide however I will say that I’m all in on the Breon Pass train. I think PC needs to make him their number one priority because feel like you can add bigs via transfer market (Cooley has added several in his tenure). Pass just seems to be the full package. He’s dual sport athlete, has won a bunch whether it be football or hoops and seems to come from a good family. Think Pass has all the makings of a superstar guard in the years to come. While neither of these guys are rated as high as Kris Dunn if the Friars could land both Pass and Ayomide we could have a similar one-two punch of Dunn and Ben Bentil.
