EVDH Scheduled to Announce
Eric Van Der Heijden, a 4 star stretch 4 from North Carolina, is set to announce his college choice today at Noon EST. All signs (and crystal balls) are pointing towards him picking, guess who, Louisville. This is another recruitment where we were in early and just couldn’t close on a player from ACC country. Unfortunately, this has become an all too similar theme these past two recruiting cycles, which is discussed in great detail in the above recruiting struggles article.
If you are keeping tabs at home, Louisville has landed the following players over us just in the past few months: Bobby Pettiford Jr., Gabe Wiznitzer, and now likely Eric van der Heijden
Gabe Dorsey Announcing Sunday
Another announcement of a recruit that has the Friars in the final grouping, but I think this one comes down to Vandy or Xavier.
Speaking of Xavier…
Xavier hitting on Transfers – Big Week in Recruiting
Xavier had a huge week on the transfer recruiting trail, landing the commitment of Hampton forward Ben Stanley and Belmont guard Adam Kunkel. We’ll see if both attain eligibility to play this season. If so, Xavier catapults itself into the top tier of the Big East. These two would likely both immediately start for the Musketeers.
Chisom Okpara offered by Seton Hall
Chisom Okpara, a Class of 2022 combo forward from Vermont, recently received an offer from Seton Hall. Providence has had Okpara to campus already and is likely one of the leaders in the clubhouse for his recruitment. This is one of the recruitments that Cooley needs to win to get some momentum back on our side.
